What is Stillpoint Family Health Services’ healthcare philosophy?

While we may not be able to control all that happens to us,
we can control what happens inside us.
—Benjamin Franklin

Stillpoint Family Health Services’ (SFHS) philosophy, as reflected in its name ‘Stillpoint’, is an osteopathic term used in cranial-sacral therapy and yoga that describes when quiescence or a point of balance is achieved. Our approach to healthcare is simultaneously natural, holistic, progressive, innovative, ecologically sustainable, prevention-based, and client-inclusive. We believe the path to good health is obtained through simple living, right diet and lifestyle, slowing down, prevention first, movement, healthy relationships, and being connected to nature, all which lead to a state of balance and resulting good health.

Dr. Lipelt, founder and practitioner at Stillpoint, lives his values—he carefully balances his own work and personal life, making sure he practices what he preaches, so he can be fully present when meeting with you and able to bring the joy of harmonious living with him into your consultation sessions.

As a resident of Sonoma County for 30 years and a business owner in Sebastopol for 15 years, Dr. Lipelt understands the importance of being part of and supporting a strong local economy. To that end he became a founding member of the Sonoma County GoLocal Cooperative a network of local independent businesses working together to reclaim local economic power in Sonoma County.
